The all-new Honda HRN lawn mowers are designed from the ground up, replacing the Honda HRR Series. The new HRN mowers are designed with a new Honda GCV170 engine that delivers improved benefits in power and torque output, maintenance, and usability through a larger fuel tank spout. The HRN lawn mowers deliver 9% more power and 18% more torque than the HRR models, allowing you to maneuver through thick, heavy grass.

The new Honda GCV170 includes the exclusive Honda Auto Choke system. This system features a simplified structure and fewer parts. The engine starts easily, whether cold or hot. Once the engine is running, the Auto Choke automatically returns to an optimal operating position.
The Honda GCV170 engine also features the Honda exclusive CycloFlow design which produces increased turbulence in the cylinder and more stable combustion. This results in easy starting and greater resistance to lower quality fuel. Lastly, the engine produces less vibration which reduces operator fatigue and makes mowing more comfortable.
The 21-inch deck is constructed of heavy-duty steel which stands up to rough and rugged conditions. The innovative deck design on the HRNs optimize airflow for superior bagging and mulching. The deck was redesigned to produce an effective path for grass clippings to pass into the bag or onto the ground when mulching. The pathway improves bagging and mulching, while preventing grass clippings from clogging.
Honda HRN lawn mowers feature a MicroCut System. This system’s twin blades produce finer clippings which make better mulch, and, when bagged, take less capacity in the grass bag resulting in fewer trips to empty the bag. The Smart Engine Layout offers a large fuel tank spout, easy oil changes, and easy access to the spark plug and air filter.
The improved design of the Adjustable Smart Drive allows you to adjust the mower speed with the press of the paddle control on the handlebar. The improved 3-in-1 Clip Director allows you to quickly change between bagging and mulching with no tools or extra parts needed.
A simplified cut height control system consists of a new dual lever height adjustment, as opposed to four levers on the HRR models. With just two levers, you can make quick adjustments for seven different cutting heights. Two-way releasing rear wheel ratchets increase maneuverability by reducing effort required to turn in a tight radius.
The HRN lawn mower models incorporate a fuel spout that is 60% wider than those on HRR models, as well as an elevated oil spout that makes it easy to fill the gas or change the oil.
The 8-inch high traction wheels provide excellent traction in a variety of mowing conditions and the Easy Fold Quick Release handle folds over for easy mower storage.
