Stand-on blowers are a great way to increase production on large leaf cleanup jobs. They can also be used for large areas of sidewalk for cleaning up grass debris and that sort of thing but primarily for the large leaf cleanup jobs. It’ll allow you to eliminate the need for several guys with backpack blowers so you can increase productivity and reduce the manpower needed to get the job done.
The Billy Goat Hurricane blowers come in two models – the Z3000 and the X3000. One is a little smaller than the other and obviously there’s a difference in power. The X3000 has a 23 horsepower Briggs Vanguard engine and it runs the Hydrogear ZT 3100 hydrostatic transmission. It has a blow force of 6500 cubic feet per minute, so a lot of power and a fair amount of ground speed also. This machine will run at eight mile an hour top speed.
The Z3000 has a 35 horsepower Briggs Vanguard engine and also runs the hydrogear 3100 hydrostatic transmission. The chamber is much larger so now you’re getting 8500 cubic feet per minute of blow force. That’s 2000 cubic feet per minute more than the X3000.
Both stand-on units have a very short wheelbase and take up very little trailer space. There’s no cables or chains or anything like that to operate the blow ports and to operate the doors. These are electronically controlled so you don’t have extra items that require service. Both units are very easy to operate.
They operate just like a zero turn mower. Instead of the lap bars on a zero turn they have mini lap or directional bars for forward and reverse movement, so very intuitive and very easy to run. Control of the three-way blow system is done with one joystick.
Both Billy Goat Hurricane stand-on blowers have an LED light bar so you can get out and operate them in low light conditions, especially in the fall when it gets darker earlier. You can keep on working in the dark with one of these units.
Billy Goat Hurricane stand-on blowers are very powerful, it’s just a matter of how much power you need.
