New Quest Series mowers from Exmark
Exmark took the Quest and added a lot of nice comfort features from the previous line. Starting with the E Series, the step-up design, which they took from their larger Radius line, makes it easier for the operator. You don’t have that big step to get up on the machine. The new Quests give offer a nice, low profile for entering and exiting the machine.
There’s also a new control lever for your height of cut with nice, easy-to-read height of cut settings and a redesigned platform, using a nice, fabricated deck, versus a stamped deck, for extra strength and durability and nice big cushion handles.
The E Series offers either a 42-inch or 50-inch deck, both fabricated decks and they are powered by the 22 horsepower Kohler 7000 series engine. This is a nice way to get into something that’s a little step up from your basic homeowner machine. The Quest E Series is a great option and offers Exmark’s legendary quality cut and durability in an entry level machine.
Along with the E Series, there are new models in the Quest S Series line. The S Series has the same design as the E but Exmark took different features from the larger Radius line, including the drop pin for height of cut changes. A magnetic held pin is used to set your different heights and a foot assist to raise your deck up and down. The foot assist makes it easier to adjust the deck, especially for larger decks. The S Series comes in a 54-inch deck.
The S Series has a nicer seat with armrests, which comes standard, larger front and rear tires, and Exmark upgraded the transmissions from the 2100 Hydro Gear to the 2200. This gives you a little more durability and a little faster ground speed.
Another big enhancement, the S Series features a 24 ½ horsepower commercial series engine. This is the same engine you’ll see on much higher priced equipment so you’re getting a true commercial-grade engine on the Quest S Series, which is a nice step up from the E Series. The S Series can tackle those larger properties all at a very attractive price point.
