How To Change the Battery on an Exmark Radius E Series Zero Turn Rider

Everyone can appreciate the benefits of a smooth-running mower. One of the main things keeping your Exmark running is the battery, and without a functioning battery your machine won’t start or operate properly. Here are our steps for changing the battery on you Exmark Radius E Series zero turn. This maintenance will keep your machine running strong all season long.

Before performing any maintenance on your machine, refer to your owner’s manual for maintenance instructions and safety information. Maintenance instructions vary by model, so depending on your lawn mower model our instructions may vary slightly.

Park your mower on a flat, level surface. Turn the engine off and allow it to cool. Remove the ignition key and disconnect the spark plug ignition wire to prevent accidental starting. Engage the parking brake.

To carry out this task, you’ll need:

  • Battery
  • Two 11-millimeter wrenches
  • Rag

To change the battery on your Exmark Radius E Series mower, you’ll need two 11-millimeter wrenches. First, remove the battery strap. Then start working with the negative side first.

Once the negative side is done, go ahead and take the positive side off. Next, lift the battery out of your mower. Be aware, once you lift the battery out there may be a possibility of battery acid around so keep a rag close by just in case.

Install the new battery3. Remove the safety caps, put the battery strap on and this time start with the positive side first. Then connect the ground side and that’s all.
