Stihl Cutquik Cut Off Saws

Stihl Cut Off Saws are designed for a lot of different applications from cutting steel to concrete and doing brick work. Available in different models, the 14-inch is by far the most popular, the TS 420. Stihl has also now included the TS 500I which has a fuel-injected engine for more torque and more power.

The TS 700 with a 16-inch blade is a nice option if you’re doing those deeper concrete cuts and need the larger blade. Stihl has also developed a battery-powered electric model. This is handy for doing small brickwork where you don’t want that big, heavy cut off saw, it’s a nice little package.

All the Stihl saws come standard with the water attachment, which is for controlling dust. It’s easy to hook up the hose and use the water attachment but what’s more important is the blade. The blade is what’s doing the work for you. The saws come standard with an abrasive blade. These are available as an economical way to do your cutting. There are different blades depending on what you’re cutting, concrete or steel.

What’s much more popular is the Stihl diamond wheels. Your diamond wheels last much longer so you’re not spending time changing blades and there’s different compositions depending on the type of work. Whether you’re cutting brick, harder materials like brick pavers or concrete work, you’d have different compositions depending on the application.

There are often also different grade diamond wheels. Diamond wheels are rated based on durability and speed of cutting at different price ranges. If you’re not using a lot, you don’t need to spend $300 on a wheel. You can get a nice diamond wheel for $100. Depending on how much you’re using the wheel, what you’re cutting, the speed you need to cut at, there’s a lot of different diamond wheel application bases to suit the application that you have.
