The Exmark UltraVac vacuum systems does an incredible job without the use of a separate engine so a lot of your commercial vacuums may have a separate engine or complicated impeller system. This is a very simple design; it runs a belt off the outside mower spindle driving the impeller that creates a tremendous amount of air. The key with this system is it does not process the material. It is just pumping the air and getting it through the impeller very quick and efficiently, so UltraVacs do an excellent job.
Exmark UltraVacs are really the leading vacuum system on the market and does a nice job for your year-round use but for spring and fall cleanups it is really an incredible tool. We want to point out that this system also is very easy to take on and off. With one clip the vacuum system swings out of the way and lifts right off and then you just put your discharge chute back on and depending on the model there’s two or three pins to remove the back.
Exmark offers a couple different series from a quick dump to a bagging system that’s a little smaller capacity than what you’ll find on the 60 inch and 72-inch machines. The quick dump systems, from the operator seat, just pull the handle and lift. The door opens and dumps the debris so if you are dumping on a tarp or dumping out in the field you do not have to get off the seat. It is very quick and easy, and locks down in place.
UltraVac systems for larger mowers are considerably larger so larger capacity is needed because of the larger deck size, and the larger machine can handle the larger vacuum system. Another key thing to note is the much larger discharge tube, which is not going to be as prone to plugging when you get into larger amounts of debris.
If you don’t want to dump, Exmark offers a triple bagger system. This is latched and lifts up and these bags will pop out so if you need to take it out and dump it somewhere Exmark offers double baggers for the smaller decks and triple baggers for the larger decks.
Exmark uses the same impeller vacuum system, just a different assembly in the back between the bag or the discharge but the Exmark UltraVac delivers incredible performance for doing those cleanups.
