During a radio interview, we received the following questions. Have there been any advancements to residential zero turn riders? What’s the hottest thing in zero turns these days?
We’re really excited to answer this, and with only a few seconds to get our spiel out on air, we wanted to share all the details we couldn’t get through before.
So the short answer is yes – Exmark and Cub Cadet zero turns.
Long answer …
Zero turn riders have been the fastest growing category of lawn mowers for over a decade, and the innovations have been extraordinary. Development efforts on zero turn riders seem to focus on three things – comfort, productivity, and value.
We’ve seen two major product line announcements in the last couple of years that have really taken all three of these features to a new level.
First, Exmark introduced the Radius line that became the gold standard for the premium acreage owner. This product brought ultra-premium features to the homeowner market that might have previously been reserved for professional lawn care people.
Second, Cub Cadet has introduced the Ultima series, which brings tremendous production and comfort at various price points. With lap bar and steering wheel models, each Cub mower is designed to handle a range of terrain and cover up to 5 acres, while providing the best-in-class cut. The Ultima Series ZTS are their steering wheel models, which bring Cub Cadet’s innovative Synchro-Steer™ technology to the Ultima Series platform for enhanced precision on challenging hills.
Both Exmark and Cub Cadet have product introductions that greatly enhance options for customers.
