The Mow Down Hunger campaign is an annual initiative led by Gleaners Community Food Bank in partnership with Weingartz. For every donation made, Weingartz matches the amount, effectively doubling the impact and helping provide up to six meals for every dollar given. This powerful matching opportunity supports children and families facing food insecurity throughout southeast Michigan. With nearly a quarter of students in some communities facing food insecurity, Mow Down Hunger plays a vital role in ensuring access to nutritious food.

Weingartz Acquires Livonia’s Commercial Lawnmower

After 41 successful years on Plymouth Road, John Murphy decided to retire and entrusted his business—Commercial Lawnmower—to Weingartz, ensuring that all 12 employees remained on board and local customers would continue to receive excellent service. The store reopened under the Weingartz name and became the company’s first location in Wayne County in 2019. Existing product lines like Stihl and Honda are still available, and Weingartz introduced Cub Cadet equipment. The store now offers Weingartz’s At-Home Maintenance, Advantage Program, and Customer Care for added customer value.
