The Ventrac 4500 tractor has been around a long time and it’s built on versatility. It performs so many different functions, with about 28 different attachments. This tractor is really a year-round machine and the versatility is just incredible.
To start off, the 4500 articulates. This offers exceptional maneuverability but also the frame oscillates. If you’re on a hillside or if you fall into a little dip, that oscillating frame keeps all four wheels with constant contact for added safety and security and better traction.
The Ventrac 4500 tractor is very easy to operate, it has a nice low center of gravity so you feel very comfortable. It’s driven with hand controls but there are optional foot controls, and all the controls are right up front making it easy to run your PTO. The parking brake, hour meter, and all your gauges are very easy and convenient to operate.
The Ventrac 4500 features a weight transfer valve so depending on the attachment you use you can transfer more weight to the wheels or less weight depending on the application. If you need additional traction you can use some of that implement weight and transfer on the wheels. An optional deluxe suspension seat is available. It’s adjustable for the weight of the operator. It’s exceptionally comfortable so if you’re out working all day, you’re not going to have the fatigue like you will with some machines.
There are four different engines available for the 4500 tractors in gas or diesel. The most popular unit has the 31 horsepower Kubota gas engine because that is the most powerful of the engine options and it has exceptional torque for a gas engine unit. There are latches on the side of the hood, so the engine hood flips up. This allows for exceptionally easy maintenance; everything is easy to access to do any maintenance work on this machine.
There are several attachments available for the Ventrac 4500 tractor. The attachments are all hydraulic driven tools versus drive shaft through gearboxes. You get much more efficiency, a more durable drive, and more torque out of the hydraulics versus the gearboxes. The quick-tach system allows you to remove attachments very easily.
The versatility is what the Ventrac 4500 tractor is all about. Once you have the tractor unit, as you have different applications you can add the different attachments. Another nice thing with the Ventrac, a lot of times you look at machines with attachments and you question how well the attachments work because a lot of times manufacturers will go to an attachment company and they just use what they have and adapt it to their machine. Ventrac builds all their attachments in-house so they are designed and tested to use on the 4500 tractors so there’s a difference in the performance from a lot of the other machines because of that. Ventrac is not making something work that is in the market, they are designing it to work on this machine.
We mentioned the low center of gravity but Ventrac also offers a dual wheel kit for the tractor so it gives you a wider stance to give you better center of gravity for those hillsides and also to support some of these larger attachments. They also offer a counterweight system to offset the weight of the attachments. What’s nice with the Ventrac, once you have the machine you can add different tools down the road to give you that added versatility.
