This attachment is available for Accel Deep mower decks on John Deere <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/itemLevelFilterPage.action?keyWordTxt=x300&amp;codeId=124031&amp;levelNo=%24levelNoSkip&amp;gallery=0&amp;resultPage=12&amp;keyWord=&amp;pageNo=externalhitsort_desc&amp;brandId=&amp;sortBy=attr_brand%3A\">X300 <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/itemLevelFilterPage.action?keyWordTxt=x500&amp;codeId=124031&amp;levelNo=%24levelNoSkip&amp;gallery=0&amp;resultPage=12&amp;keyWord=&amp;pageNo=externalhitsort_desc&amp;brandId=&amp;sortBy=attr_brand%3A\">X500 <\/a>Select Series tractors.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to install the One-Touch MulchControl.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BwE35w3oasw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Before performing any maintenance on your <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/John-Deere-Tractors\">John Deere<\/a>, refer to your operator\u2019s manual. It lists required maintenance, safety information, and instructions for your machine. Maintenance instructions vary by model, so depending on your model our instructions may vary slightly.<\/p>\n<p>Begin by parking your <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/John-Deere-Tractors\">mower <\/a>on a flat, level surface. Turn the engine off, allow it to cool, and set the deck down. Position the mower deck so you have access to both sides.<\/p>\n<p>Take your One-Touch MulchControl kit and unbox all the pieces and parts.<\/p>\n<p>Remove the mower blades\u00a0by inserting a wood block between the blade and mower deck to prevent the blade from turning. Remove the bolt washer and blade. Repeat this on all blades.<\/p>\n<p>Next, bolt the mulch gate stop plate under the deck and tighten the bolt.<\/p>\n<p>Install the deflectors. Take the left deflector and attach it to the mower deck. Line up the split tab and then rotate the deflector until the top tabs slide over the baffles. Attach the lock nut on top of the deck.<\/p>\n<p>Attach the right deflector to the deck. Make sure the mulch gate is outside the stop plate and align the deflector with the existing holes in the mower deck. Attach using a carriage bolt and lock nut and tighten.<\/p>\n<p>Install the actuator bracket to the gauge wheel bracket and tighten. Make sure the mulch gate is in the closed position and install the pivot arm to the pivot shaft with the lock nut. Install the actuator assembly to the bracket with the pin and spring locking pin. Tighten the lock nuts and attach the right deflector to the deck baffle.<\/p>\n<p>Next, install the spring between the pivot arm and the bushing on the tension arm. Install the harness clip on the right hand of the stock bracket.<\/p>\n<p>Install the blades using a large washer and bolt. Make sure the cutting edge is facing toward the ground. Tighten using a torque wrench.<\/p>\n<p>Install the deck back onto your <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/John-Deere-Tractors\">mower<\/a>. Raise or remove the hood. Disconnect the spark plugs and remove the whole plug from the dash panel. This will be replaced with a switch.<\/p>\n<p>Install the relay block to dash support with a bolt and clamp-on nut. For machines with a carbon canister, attach the relay block with a cable tie clip.<\/p>\n<p>Connect the wire harness under the dash to the switch on top of the dash. Insert the switch into the hole and make sure the switch snaps into place. Route the kit harness down the right side, following the main machine harness between the side panel and frame.<\/p>\n<p>Attach the kit harness to the main machine harness with zip ties. Plug the male connector from the main machine harness into the female connector on the kit harness.<\/p>\n<p>Attach the actuator harness to the main machine harness with the releasable clip throughout the actuator harness.<\/p>\n<p>Plug the connector from the kit harness into the connector on the actuator harness. Reconnect the spark plugs and tuck the harnesses behind the side panel.
