RedMax offers an impressive line of commercial-grade line trimmers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Model BCZ230TS <\/a>has been very popular for quite a long time because what’s nice with this unit, it’s a true commercial grade unit but it only weighs 10.1 pounds. When you have a lot of work, when you’re out running a trimmer all day, add an extra pound and a half and that makes a huge difference. The RedMax\u00a0BCZ230TS <\/a>is powered by a 22.5 cc Strato-Charged engine.<\/p>\n

As we meet the new emission standards, a lot of companies found different ways to do it. Some have a blended four-stroke type engine which adds components and parts. Other companies are putting catalytic converters on the on the unit, which adds weight in another maintenance item. The Strato-Charged system is basically a more efficient design, and you develop more power out of a smaller engine and more torque and typically 15 to 20 percent more fuel efficient than comparable trimmers in this class.<\/p>\n

The BCZ230TS <\/a>features a very simple, powerful, and lightweight design but it’s still a commercial-grade machine that puts out one full horsepower.<\/p>\n

All the RedMax trimmers use the large four-inch tap for feed commercial-grade line head. The heavy-duty gearbox is what’s doing all the work for you, so this max torque system with this heavy gear box will cut through that heavy grass. There\u2019s a lot of torque in all the RedMax power units.<\/p>\n

As you move through the lineup, what\u2019s nice, even though you move up RedMax doesn\u2019t add a lot of weight. The BCZ260S <\/a>is a step up and features a 25.4 cc at 1.3 horsepower. This unit uses the standard gearbox where the BCZ260TS<\/a>, which is very popular, uses the Max-Torque system, which gives you more torque to the cutter head for those heavier conditions. The BCZ260TS <\/a>is still extremely light for a commercial-grade trimmer.<\/p>\n

As you move up the line the BCZ3060 <\/a>is great if you want the additional power and torque. We don’t sell a lot of these because this thing’s got a lot of power for that size trimmer.<\/p>\n

What’s nice with the RedMax, if you look around on landscapers\u2019 trailers in this area, it is by far the most popular because for a long time RedMax just built commercial-grade, simple, heavy duty equipment.
