Billy Goat has three\u00a0different series or debris loaders<\/a> with different engine options. The first one is the 1302 which has not been very popular because\u00a0it uses 8-inch diameter tube. You need the larger displacement,\u00a0the larger impeller, and larger engine to\u00a0handle the bigger tubes and when you go to the 10-inch tube it gives you considerably more\u00a0circumference inside the tube.<\/p>\n

The problem with\u00a0the 8 inch unit, in the fall, typically the leaves are always going to be damp and the 8 inch is more prone\u00a0to plug because of the smaller diameter tube.\u00a0So when you go to the next series up, it’s offered\u00a0in a 14 and 18 horsepower engine. The 18 goes to a\u00a0twin cylinder which is a great option\u00a0because the twin cylinder will develop more\u00a0torque. It does take a lot of power to pick up\u00a0that debris, so it is really a great performing\u00a0model.<\/p>\n

All the tubes are 10 foot in length as well and feature all spring assisted hose carriers, which helps\u00a0support some of the weight of the hose.<\/p>\n

Billy Goat debris loaders<\/a> have a lot of different options for mounting. It really is based on what you need. There is\u00a0a swing away kit which mounts into your receiver, a\u00a0straight receiver hitch, you can mount it off\u00a0the of a stake pocket or you can just bolt\u00a0it right to the trailer. So there’s a lot of\u00a0different options based on how you’re configuring\u00a0your loading box. There are even extensions to the\u00a0tube if you need to get it up into a trailer.<\/p>\n

All\u00a0the Billy Goats<\/a> use a double shredding system, so\u00a0they have the steel impeller that is shredding but\u00a0they also have what is called a piranha blade. The\u00a0piranha blade mounts to the outside of the impeller and helps pulverize the debris quickly. It gives you about a 12 to 1 reduction\u00a0in the material and it is very quick and a very\u00a0efficient system with a double shredding system.<\/p>\n

Moving up into the DL series<\/a>,\u00a0these debris loaders are available in 29 and 37 horsepower.\u00a0\u00a0These feature considerably larger\u00a0impellers. On these units, the 10-inch hose goes to a 12-inch hose.<\/p>\n

When you get into those\u00a0big piles of heavy leaves the DL models<\/a> are beasts and work to get right through them.\u00a0An optional trailer is available for these machines, so again, depending on how you’re handling your\u00a0loading you can either bolt the unit to a trailer,\u00a0truck, or you can get the trailer assembly if you\u00a0want to tow it behind and just feed right into if\u00a0you have a box built on your truck.<\/p>\n

Even with\u00a0the large, heavy hose with the spring\u00a0assist system, these larger units have a nice little carrier which makes it very easy to maneuver the hose\u00a0for this size hose. To make quick work out\u00a0of leaf removal the Billy Goat debris loaders<\/a> are one of those tools once\u00a0people have them they say “I wish I had it years\u00a0ago” because it’ll pay for itself in no time.\u00a0\u00a0These units are labor savers.<\/p>\n
