The SSV <\/a>is Ventrac\u2019s new sidewalk\u00a0machine. Ventrac spent a long time building\u00a0the tractor unit which has long been known for\u00a0exceptional versatility and they brought that into\u00a0a compact sidewalk machine. In the last few\u00a0years, we’re starting to see a lot of these compact\u00a0machines for sidewalk snow removal\u00a0but Ventrac has kept the small\u00a0chassis but really made it a lot heavier duty.<\/p>\n

Ventrac SSV<\/a> still has a narrow 34 inch width compact\u00a0wheel base but they’ve upped the horsepower to an\u00a018 horsepower twin cylinder Kawasaki engine and\u00a0you can get it with an optional PTO. The PTO gives\u00a0you the ability to run hydraulic front implements.<\/p>\n

You’re going to use less salt\u00a0with the Ventrac SSV<\/a> and it has a ton of power for a small machine, and a\u00a0ton of hydraulic power as well. For those deep snows you can\u00a0very easily switch over to a snow blower attachment. Another great snow attachment is the snow blade. The snow blade is great for light\u00a0snow, and you get the quickest\u00a0ground speed with the snow blade. Ventrac offers\u00a0a 42-inch blade for those narrower sidewalks\u00a0and they also offer a 54-inch.<\/p>\n

The Ventrac SSV<\/a> gives\u00a0you exceptional versatility and is designed for the user to stand on the back. This machine gives you excellent visibility. The parking brake\u00a0is a nice feature. Engage the parking brake so when you go to jump off the machine you\u00a0can jump off and the machine will still stay\u00a0running but for operation you just release the\u00a0parking brake and it drives like a skid steer\u00a0with the two levers for turning and\u00a0maneuverability.<\/p>\n

The other nice thing\u00a0Ventrac <\/a>did is allow you to\u00a0run the machine one-handed and gives you the versatility\u00a0to use the joystick for angling and engaging your\u00a0attachments. The SSV <\/a>is much more productive with the single hand operation.\u00a0Lights come standard with the machine, as well as the PTO switch to\u00a0engage whatever attachments you\u2019re interested in using. The Ventrac <\/a>also has a nice, heavy throttle system so when you’re\u00a0out in the elements you’re not going to have problems\u00a0with this freezing up. This is just an excellent,\u00a0solid unit with exceptional versatility for\u00a0a sidewalk machine.<\/p>\n
