Lawn Tractors<\/a> have larger engines and stronger frames to take on heavy-duty work on both flat and uneven terrain. These mowers c<\/span>an be used to plow and cultivate gardens as well as remove snow.<\/p>\n

Zero Turn Riders<\/a> t<\/span>urn on a dime, cutting your work time in half. With a zero-turning radius, these mowers provide more control and better efficiency on large and mostly flat lawns. These are also great for yards with lots of obstacles.<\/p>\n

Before making any purchasing decisions, you should first ask yourself the following questions:<\/p>\n

How large is the area that I am mowing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to make sure you can get the most out of your lawn, you must take the size of your home or property into account. This will have an impact on the features you’ll want and the level of horsepower you’ll need.<\/p>\n

What size mower deck do I want?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lawn mowers with larger cutting widths and more horsepower will help get the job done faster. Smaller mowers, on the other hand, allow you to work in more constrained areas with limited access, such as backyards that are obstructed by narrow gates that larger mowers can’t fit through.<\/p>\n

How many passes it\u2019ll take to cut your lawn also depends on the size of your mower\u2019s cutting deck. Smaller cutting decks require more passes while larger\/wider decks require fewer passes.<\/p>\n

How many obstacles will I need to mow around?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The more obstacles within a space, the tighter turning radius you will need. Some mowers have a smaller turning radius than others that helps cut grass faster, with fewer twists and turns.<\/p>\n

What type of terrain will I be facing on a regular basis?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having an understanding of one\u2019s terrain will be critical in deciding how much horsepower they need. While homeowners that work on flat, less challenging terrain can choose a tractor with the least amount of horsepower, those that work with slopes and hills will require a tractor with more horsepower and added stability.<\/p>\n

Will I need my lawn tractor for anything other than mowing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the right attachment, most lawn tractors can perform a wide variety of tasks. By deciding what the primary use of their equipment will be \u2013 whether it be cutting the lawn or transporting materials \u2013 operators can choose the best attachments for the job.<\/p>\n
