However, if you do not change the <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/\/searchPage.action?keyWord=fuel%20filter\">fuel filter<\/a> in your machine regularly you can say goodbye to a beautiful, professional-looking lawn.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kMRGZfNk-cc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Before performing any maintenance on your <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/Toro-Zero-Turn-Riders\">Toro zero turn rider<\/a>, refer to your owner\u2019s manual for recommended maintenance and safety information. Maintenance instructions vary by model, so depending on the model of your zero turn, our instructions may vary slightly. Check your owner\u2019s manual to get instructions specific to your model.<\/p>\n<p>Park your mower on a flat, level surface. Turn the engine off and allow it to cool. Remove the ignition key and disconnect the spark plug ignition wire to prevent accidental starting. Engage the parking brake.<\/p>\n<p>What you\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Replacement fuel filter<\/li>\n<li>Pliers<\/li>\n<li>Fuel line\u00a0pliers<\/li>\n<li>Rags<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>First, stuff a couple of rags underneath the <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/\/searchPage.action?keyWord=fuel%20filter\">fuel\u00a0filter<\/a> to catch any excess fuel that will come out. Use a pair of fuel line\u00a0pliers to block out the full fuel from the tank\u00a0to stop the flow of fuel, then use a pair of regular pliers to take\u00a0off the two clamps that hold down the fuel filter to the fuel line.<\/p>\n<p>Once you get the fuel filters off,\u00a0it\u2019s a little tricky to get the filter\u00a0off the line so twist and pull and do the same thing on the other side. Properly dispose of the old\u00a0fuel filter.<\/p>\n<p>Put the new <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/\/searchPage.action?keyWord=fuel%20filter\">fuel filter<\/a> on. You will notice that there is an arrow that says <em>flow<\/em> on\u00a0the side of the filter.
