Maintenance instructions vary by model, so depending on the model of your zero turn, our instructions may vary slightly. Check your owner\u2019s manual to get instructions specific to your model.<\/p>\n<p>Park your mower on a flat, level surface. Turn the engine off and allow it to cool. Remove the ignition key and disconnect the spark plug ignition wire to prevent accidental starting. Engage the parking brake.<\/p>\n<p>What you\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Replacement fuel filter<\/li>\n<li>Pliers<\/li>\n<li>Fuel line\u00a0pliers<\/li>\n<li>Rags<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0Use a pair of fuel line pliers, which can be found at any automotive or hardware store, to pinch\u00a0off the fuel line before the <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/\/searchPage.action?keyWord=fuel%20filter\">fuel filter<\/a>. Use a pair of pliers to take the fuel line clamps\u00a0and move them up to get the fuel filter off.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend using a little catch pan\u00a0underneath just to catch any fuel that&#8217;s\u00a0going to flow out, and of course, be very\u00a0careful when working with gasoline.<\/p>\n<p>Now, twist the\u00a0fuel line to break it loose from the filter, pull the fuel filter out, and put it in the pan. On the fuel filters, there is\u00a0a little arrow that tells you which way\u00a0the fuel is going to\u00a0flow. The arrow\u00a0should point towards the engine so in\u00a0from the tank, out to the carburetor.<\/p>\n<p>Reinstall the <a href=\"https:\/\/weingartz.com\/\/searchPage.action?keyWord=fuel%20filter\">filter<\/a>, make\u00a0sure to reinstall the clamps. Make sure to\u00a0pull off the pliers to allow fuel to flow.
