Can that be right?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>A:<\/strong> Yes. Unlike lawnmower blades that have the edges dull as they are used, edger blades wear from the friction at the ends of the blade. It is common for customers to bring us a 4\u201d blade that started out 9\u201d long. As the blade shortens, it makes the edging job more cumbersome because it will work slower with that worn down blade.
